I decided to look at a Macbook Pro 13.3″ while wandering in Best Buy. I played with the laptop for approximately 5 minutes and knew I was going to buy one.
I ended up with a 13.3″ Macbook Pro with retina display that I purchased directly from Apple. I ordered it on a Friday and received it on the following Tuesday.
I must say I was surprised with the extremely short shipping time.
The Macbook Pro I purchased has 8 gig of ram with a 256 gig solid state hard drive. This is probably one of the fastest laptops I have ever used and it is only the mid range Macbook Pro.
For me to say it is one of the fastest laptops I have ever used, you must know what I use as a daily driver:

I was quite impressed with the overall performance of the Macbook from the first time I opened it. The overall build quality is amazing with a full aluminium body. It definitely feels like a premium piece of technology!
Once you get it open is where all the fun happens. It is running OSX Mavericks version 10.9.1. The operating system is definately more user friendly than any version of Windows I have ever used before. It literally took me 5 minutes to figure out where everything is.
I also noticed that the amount of included software was kept to a minimum. This is definately a plus in my books as most computer manufacturers include loads of unneccessary software that gobble up a big chunk of disc space.
My overall thoughts on this laptop are:
Great build quality
Easy to learn and navigate
I have currently been using the Macbook Pro for 1 week and have not found any cons at the time of writing. If I do find some, I will be sure to edit this post.
