Photography Archive Invasion Project – Week Eleven

So this time I decided to cheat on the project a little to show off some Photoshop skills (The total time to edit was 44 minutes on this one). This photo was taken last year at my parents house, It is my dad and son in the photo. My Dad recently sold the hot rod (1923 model T) in the photo but it holds some great memories for my son as he always talks about “Grampa’s hot rod”.

All editing was done solely in Photoshop.

Drop me a comment below to voice your opinion on the editing job!

This project allows me to take a mediocre image (at best) from my archive and try to edit it so it looks good. I plan on doing one image a week for now and see how things go. This project forces me to go through all of those old images in my archive and sharpens my editing skills.

I have tried to come up with an original personal project for some time now and believe this is the one for me. If you are a photographer reading this hopefully it inspires you to attempt an original personal project of your own.

Here is the criteria I am using for this project:

  1. The original image must not be from a client shoot
  2. The image must look ok, not great
  3. I only get 10 minutes to edit the image (In one program only)

A good clean cut here…however the road pavement doesn’t match from the front to the back.

      Hey Alex,

Good catch on that one! I never noticed that portion around the engine area that as missing pavement.
